HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR TATTOO

It takes about 2 weeks for the average tattoo to heal.

Your tattoo may have some "leakage" in the next day or so, which is completely normal due to being an open wound

thats trying to heal.

The leakage is a mixture of dead skin cells, blood, plasma

and ink that your cells didnt hold onto.

—————

Drink plenty of water as it’ll help with healing

—————-

-For 2 weeks-

Keep your tattoo covered and away from the sun

No swimming, Hot tubing or soaking your tattoo in ANY

bodies of water.

Gym: go easy at the gym for the first 3 days to allow the

body to heal

Scabbing/Itchy : Please Avoid Itching/picking at your

tattoo

If needed, apply a cold compress which will alleviate the

itchy phase

————-

Any Derm Bandage such as: Second Skin / Saniderm,

Keep the wrap on for about 5-7 days if possible.

Having your tattoo wrapped helps with keeping it clean.

Infection Risk is LOW.

No need to take care of your tattoo until you take the wrap

off.

Leaving the wrap on, will prevent your plasma from drying

out and becoming a scab which will help your tattoo heal

better and faster.

If you notice any hives around the wrap:

stinging, redness, Irritation -

Take it off asap!

1/4 people have an adhesive allergy.

Some Areas may react up more than others due to

sensitivity (Inner arm, inner thigh, chest) or where theres

more bending/friction such as elbow/knee ditches.

It'll take just a couple of days for the skin reaction to go

down, if so.

——————

Remove by pulling it off towards the direction of hair

growth, In the shower.

Use Dial soap to wash your tattoo right after removing the

wrap, fully rinse and Air dry.

Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion ONLY if needed once a

day.

(If you just showered, wait a couple of hours for your skin to

dry before applying lotion ONLY if needed.

AVOID using petroleum-based ointments such as Aquaphor, Vaseline etc. It suffocates your skin and doesn't allow your tattoo to

breathe and heal properly.

Please contact your tattoo artist if you have any questions!
